Last week, 3C went to Adel Woods in search of a piece of Victorian history! We were lucky enough to find the Seven Arches aqueduct! When we were there we did some sketching of the aqueduct and considered his this would have been used during the Victorian times. On the way we tuned in our inner ACE Geographer and mapped the route.

Murton Park
Today Year 3 went to Murton Park to live a day in the Stone Age! We had such a fun time… we learned how to throw spears to hunt, how to weave, how to grind wheat into flour, how to make and decorate pottery and even became archaeologists exploring some historical artefacts!
Stone Age Designers
While half of our class have bee; swimming at the Grammar School at Leeds, we have been learning to become Stone Age designers! We’ve had to persevere and be resilient to make our axes, hammers and spears!
Cave Artists
This week 3C have been becoming real life Stone Age cave artists. We used charcoal and gestural drawing to make the caves with rabbits as we are… Rabbit Tribe!
Victorians in Our Local Area
This week, 3C have ventured on a local walk to the Seven Arches Aqueduct in Adel Woods. We then used natural materials to create some art work and did some observational drawing of some of the natural beauties in our local area.
Murton Park
This week 3C ventured all the way to York for a Stone Age experience at Murton Park. We made links to our previous learning as we lived as a Neolithic village to farm, hunt, make pottery and observe some Stone Age artefacts.
Neolithic Farmers
During the Neolithic age, people began to farm and domesticate animals. This week, Fox Clan evolved into the Neolithic age, as we began to farm our own wheat.
