Ready to brace the cold!
This week 3C have been applying our sewing skills to use of plans to template, cut, design and sew our very own pair of mittens! We had to engage Batman to persevere through threading the needle, a lot, as well as cutting the felt and sewing.
Sewing the Northern Lights
In Art this half term we have been creating a piece of artwork inspired by the Northern Lights in Iceland. We used tie dye to create the scene and then started to sew a volcano on top, to really represent the beautiful island of Iceland!
ACE Designers make mittens
Lord Sugar has challenged us to design and manufacture a pair of mittens to keep us warm and safe on a journey to Starjik’s cave.
We looked at good examples for market research and then moved on to creating some of our own designs, before being a critical and supportive eye for our friends.
Neolithic Farmers
During the Neolithic age, people began to farm and domesticate animals. This week, Fox Clan evolved into the Neolithic age, as we began to farm our own wheat.
