3C Art Day
This week we had an amazing day of art as we explored warm and cold colours, created colour palettes using different resources and then applied this to create a piece of artwork inspired by the Lands of Ice and Fire!
Pancake Races
As part of our whole school pancake day celebrations to open Lent, 3C took part in some very special races… involving pancakes and frying pans! A huge well done to Turnberry, who were crowned champions of 3C, thanks to an amazing comeback run by Elsie!
3C take an adventure to our local library!
Yesterday we set out on an expedition on a local walk to visit our community library. We were amazed at the amount of beautiful books we could borrow! I hope some of you manage to join the library and take advantage of such a special place in our community.
The start of Bones, Beats and Bodies
Over the next year, we will be working on a special project with the Balbir Dance Company called Bones, Beats and Bodies.

Drama and Storytelling
Today 3C had a wonderful day working with our special guest visitor, Matthew Bellwood, on the story of Leminkainen! We listened to and retold the story using projectors and screens to project our stories using light and shadow!
Murton Park
This week 3C ventured all the way to York for a Stone Age experience at Murton Park. We made links to our previous learning as we lived as a Neolithic village to farm, hunt, make pottery and observe some Stone Age artefacts.
Carols Around the Tree Rehearsals
Yesterday, Year 3 and 4 gathered together to practice for our Carols Around the Tree service. It was such a joyous occasion to share carols together and spread some Christmas joy!
Rugby League World Cup
A few weeks ago, 3C attended the opening ceremony of the women’s rugby league World Cup in Headingley. We had an amazing time, were waved at by some England stars and even made it on to national TV!
